A Vancouver merchant who moved her business because of the problems caused by the construction of a rapid transit line has won a $600,000 settlement in her lawsuit against the B.C. government.
Two tangentially related thoughts:
- This is going to cost the government a shitload when everyone else inevitably sues (not that that wouldn’t be a valid course of action for some)
- How did the sword, medieval knick-knacks, other weird crap store on Cambie stay in business the whole time? I am currently attributing it to the power of Cthulhu, but am open to other ideas.
Have you met anyone that shops at sword, medieval knick-knacks, and other weird crap stores? They’d fight off dragons to get a new breast plate.
