On Sunday, my mom (second from the right) filmed a PSA to raise awareness for the World Conference on Breast Cancer.
Which got me thinking about how every year since she beat breast cancer, she raises money by participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure and how every year I donate money and then guilt my friends into donating money (which I am still going to do). But, I never try to guilt strangers into donating money… until now.
Every week, 100 women in Canada die from breast cancer, which means there’s a bunch of sons, daughters, husbands, etc that aren’t as lucky as I was.
Currently, 1 in 9 Canadian women will get breast cancer at some point in their lives, which means that you or somebody you know—probably somebody you love—will get it.
So, if you can spare it, why not click here and donate a few bucks to help find a cure.
As a bonus, if you donate and aren’t anonymous, I think my mom can see your email address, so you’ll probably get a nice, somewhat confused as to who you are, thank you note from a very sweet lady.
